Cameron Norry was knocked out in the first round of the Barcelona Open, but Carlos Alcaraz advanced after the second set fight targeting back-to-back ATP tour titles.
Nolly, who has been qualifying to reach the Spanish main draw, won his first set with Karen Khachanov after falling to a 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 6-3 defeat on Tuesday.
Britt has not won a main draw match since losing last week in Monte Carlo Masters qualifying and reaching the third round at the Indian Wells in March.
Alcaraz worked by American qualifiers
Monte Carlo Masters champion Alcaraz extended his winning streak to six games with a 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) victory over the US qualifying Ethanquin, reaching the second round.

Alcalaz – who secured his sixth ATP 1,000 title in the tournament to beat Lorenzomsetti at Monte Carlo on Sunday, securing his first title in that tournament – defeated Quinn twice in the first set, but found a tougher one in the second.
The Spaniards slipped 3-1 and had to dodge the setpoint in a tiebreaker before putting out their final 16 meetings with Las Logire when pushing the third Barcelona open title after consecutive victories in 2022 and 2023.
Alcaraz missed the 2024 edition due to injuries, and instead Casperude won.
De Minaur concludes Fearnley’s showdown, Ruud
Ruud and third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas – the player Ruud overcomes in last year’s final – progressed in straight sets on Tuesday, watching Daniel Ella Higalan 6-4 6-3 and Riley Opelca 6-2 6-2 respectively.

Fifth Seedalex de Minaur did not drop the set as he defeated Thomas Martin Etchery 6-4 6-4 on Thursday to secure his final 16 showdown with British Jacob Fianley.
However, a week after losing in the second round at the Monte Carlo Masters, ninth seed Francis Tierfour was defeated 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 by unseeded Spanish Joan Munar.
At the WTA event in Rouen, the British Harriet Darts were beaten 6-0 6-3 by the Cardrois Boisson of Homewild.
