Bobby Brown is campaigning for his privileges – and he hasn’t held back, saying Britney Spears slaughtered his hit “my privilege.”
The singer did not write down the words from the “Club Shay Shay” podcast. Shannon Sharp informed that Britney’s takeover of the 1988 classic was not just a bad thing, but a full-fledged attack on his ears.
Shannon intervened with a reality check, reminding Bobby that he signed off on the cover, but BB said he was seduced by the magic of star power from producers Teddy Riley and Britney. He thought she was lifting the track…and he didn’t have a wrecking ball.
Bobby didn’t just hit Britney’s cover – it was a wake-up call. Now he says he always has to listen to his song remix before signing off – after all, he has a legacy to restrain him.
Britney’s version didn’t know what the top spots of the Billboard Hot 100 were, but it was popular on the radio and was a mainstream hit of the time.
So who knows whether or how Britney will applaud Bobby’s main shade? But if so, you can bet your bottom dollars that will be her Instagram, Twirls, and all.
