At least three people have been killed after another extensive air bombardment by Russia.
According to emergency services, area governor Sergiy Lysak said he was killed in the eastern Dnipropetrovsk area and that the woman died of injuries after the woman was rescued from Odesa’s burning apartment.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said 10 Ukrainian regions, including many cities, were attacked in overnight attacks. The Ukrainian military said more than 340 explosive dummy drones and 35 cruises and ballistic missiles were used.
90% of these are said to have been shot down, electronically suppressed or lost, but over 30 people have passed.
One of the strikes crashed into a residential block in a city in South Odesa, causing a fire to occur on the upper floors.
Five people were rescued from a burning apartment — including a woman who later died, according to rescuers. At least six people were injured.
The eastern city of Pavlorado was exposed to what Serjiy Lissac called “hellish nights and mornings.”
He said he added that there was a “post-explosion explosion” caused by drone and missile strikes, which was the largest attack on a city ever.
The target reportedly included industrial sites, fire stations, clinics, schools and cultural institutions.
Zelensky writes that “critical infrastructure” is being damaged there. The missile factory is based in Pavlorado, and the city has been hit by Russia in the past.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said it would produce missile and drone components overnight, but attacked a military industrial company that didn’t specify where.
The northeastern city of Smee was also attacked. Zelensky said that critical infrastructure has been damaged and reduced power to thousands of families.
Also, Shostoka, another town in the area less than 50 km (30 miles) from the Russian border, had a strike that includes a guided bomb. Officials said the “targeted hits” caused the fire. They didn’t say what was hit.
Unverified video footage posted online based on the incident shows violent fire and clouds of grey smoke swirling.
Zelensky once again highlighted the importance of strengthening air defenses, both in terms of supply from allies, in the production of them in Ukraine, including more interceptor drones.
The Trump administration recently moved to release weapons supplies, even if some of these, including much-needed patriot air defense, were paid by other NATO allies.

At least six people were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Odesa
Russia said it shot down more than 70 Ukrainian drones in one night on Saturday, most of which were shot down in the areas of Rostov, Moscow and Briansk.
Yuri Sryusar, governor of Rostov, said the attack was massive and had affected areas near the occupied Ukrainian territories and borders. He said the house was damaged by what he said had fallen debris, and some villages suffered from temporary power losses.
Slyusar said one railroad worker was injured and rail traffic was destroyed. Several supply routes to Ukraine run through the region.
Meanwhile, at the forefront, Russian forces continue to attack the town of Pokrovsk in the eastern region of Donetsk, one of their important objectives.
Late Friday, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief Oleksandr Silsky acknowledged it faced increased pressure but insisted its defense was “still.” He said Russia was trying to reach the city with a small group of soldiers attacking for purposes of obstruction and reconnaissance, claiming that such a group had been destroyed. Russia has been trying to surround Pokrovsk for several months.
