Burnley was not disappointed that he narrowly missed Saturday’s championship title as he celebrated his promotion to the Premier League by singing his 2004 hit “Unwritten” with the pop star.
The song became the unofficial national anthem of Burnley’s promotional campaign, Beddingfield performed on the Turf Moor’s pitch after the team won Millwall 3-1.
The events from Burnley’s Behing-Behind-Win secured their position as “Centurions” as they joined the ultimate champion Leeds United with a 100-point mark. This is the first season in championship history where two teams scored more than 100 points in the same season.
Scott Parker’s team has been a return to the top flight for the first time, conceding just 16 goals in 46 league matches.
Manor Solomon’s late winner at Leeds on Elland Road denied Burnley’s second championship title in three years, but missed the title alone due to goal differences and rarely quells the celebrations of Parker and his team.
