Cain Velazquez recently moved to his new home for a foreseeable future – Wasco State Prison – he posed for a brand new mug shot… TMZ Sports acquired.
Velazquez, 42, was sentenced to five years in prison for attempted murder on March 24, and was transferred from a county jail near San Jose to the Cali State Jail in Wasco.
When UFC legend arrives, prison officials order Velázquez to pose for another mug shot…and he looks serious and stoic.
The photo was taken just over three years after being first arrested (and stood for a mug) for trying to shoot a man named Harry Goalute.
Goularte has been accused of abusing one of Cain’s family and has himself faced a deadline in court this year, facing serious criminal charges.
Cain expressed his regret before the judge before handing out the court decision later last month…he said he understood he was a mess and would do everything he could to assist him.
It must have been working…’Faced with decades behind the bar, Velazquez received a five-year prison sentence… Despite Grald’s relatives, he is seeking more serious time.
And Cain does not near the five perfect places. The judge said the MMA great would receive credit for the time he spent in the county jail after he was initially arrested and for the time he spent on house arrest leading up to his trial in 2024.
