Cam Ward has been Titan for a few hours, but he is already welcomed to the Volunteer State by Chris Johnson, one of Org’s best players!!
CJ2K sat at TMZ Sports on Thursday to destroy Tennessee’s Ward Pick…and said he probably preferred to take Travis Hunter in the top selection in the NFL Draft, but he admitted that getting a Signal-Caller is important to the team.
“We needed a quarterback,” the former tailback said. “They want to change the organization.”
Johnson believes that as long as Ward does his job… he can have a lot of success in Tennessee. Probably early on.
“Go there and guide us the right way, and we have your back,” he said.
The 39-year-old also shouted at the Tennessee fanbase… He says he believes that all the loyal people in Titan will give their full support to the ward as well.
“They’re just going to ride with you,” Johnson said. “You get there, you do the right thing, they’ll definitely ride with you.”
Johnson admitted that there was probably pressure on Ward… but he saw Titan going through it with Vince Young, and he gave Ward his best advice on how to deal with it.
“He comes in and gets in there early, he studies and figures out what they want to do,” Johnson said. “I think he’s fine.”
