The hosts reached that target in 25.5 over thanks to Haseeb Hameed (62 No) and Quick Scoring Duckett (31-59 No), the latter sucking a half-century of 23 balls since the end of England’s Dismal Champions Trophy campaign in early March to smoke a half-century of 23 balls in the first match.
Hameed registered the second 50 of the game and moved his name forward as a candidate to open with Duckett in Test Cricket this summer if England loses faith at Zack Crawley.
Another England option at the top of the order is Tom Haynes of Sussex. He scored 64 in two innings against Nottinghamshire, leading the 513 Lonce 1 run score chart, ahead of teammates Simpson (463) and Haymed (443).
