DOHA – As part of an effort to ease the situation in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Qatar held a trilateral meeting in Doha on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, attended by Qatar Chief Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. His Excellency Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda. President Felix Zisekedi Tyrombo, president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The head of state welcomed the progress made in the Luanda and Nairobi process held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on February 8, 2025. The head of state agreed to the need to continue the discussions launched in Doha to establish a solid foundation for the permanent establishment of peace, as envisaged in the Luanda/Nairobi process.
