Egypt has clearly and explicitly denies claims distributed by several media outlets that it is ready to temporarily relocate half a million Gaza residents to designated cities in North Sinai as part of Gaza’s reconstruction.
Egyptian National Intelligence Service (SIS) issued a statement on Friday 21/3/2025 confirming the falsehood of these unfounded allegations that are fundamentally and completely inconsistent with the company of Egyptian companies declared from the beginning of the war of massacres in Gaza in October 2023.
“Egypt has decisively and explicitly rejected any attempt to force or voluntarily replace Palestinian brothers and sisters everywhere outside Gaza, particularly Egyptian territory, to represent the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and pose an imminent threat to Egyptian national security,” SIS said.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that Egypt’s unwavering, clear position forms the basis for the plans presented at the recent Cairo-hosted emergency Arab summit for the reconstruction of Gaza. “The plan, which Egypt proposed to support the reconstruction of Gaza without relocating one Palestinian or sister from Palestinian territory, was unanimously approved by the Summit.”
