Ariana Grande has released her new deluxe album, “Eternal Sunshine: Bright Days Afvery.” Of course, I’m sure everyone is analysing the lyrics and spilling tea about a particular man in her life… her ex-husband and her current Boo, Ethan Slater, and more.
First up – Ariana appears to be jumping into a split from Dalton Gomez in “The Twilight Zone” (yeah, the obvious nod to a creepy TV classic)…and she sings about things that don’t feel like she is – revealing that she reflects a blurry relationship.
She repeats it all, “Were we just wrong? / Did we disguise our intentions? / Our nest was a masquerade / Why am I still protecting you? / These songs pretend not to be you.”
Dalton doesn’t get off easily… ‘Fans also read “Past Life” and think it’s about him, especially with lyrics about moving from past love.
Yes, she definitely feels her way – pulls the curtain back in a relationship that wasn’t what it was thought of.
As for her other song, “Hampstead”… that’s about Ethan, especially since she lived in Hampstead’s London neighborhood while filming “Wicked,” which she met on set.
In this song, she doesn’t reflect what was wrong…but it’s putting their hatred in the blast, waving the flag for love with Ethan.
Obviously there’s nothing like a bit of love and drama to fuel Ariana’s next chart topping banger!
