The month of the 2025 MLB season has already passed, and fantasy baseball owners are beginning to dial the MLB fantasy baseball rankings every week. One of the breakouts in April is Jonathan Aranda, the Rays’ baseman, who will be in fourth in baseball on the OPS until April 20th. The 26-year-old from Tijuana has shown a flash of pop with a short taste of life at MLB over the past three seasons, but he slashes the fifth week of this fantasy baseball season. In 20 games.
Aranda has become the type of player that can be added to the fantasy baseball lineup until the end of this hot streak. He has listed his roster at 75% of the CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball League, starting with 56% of the lineup. Sportsline Projection Model offers weekly fantasy baseball position rankings and helps you build a winning roster.
The Sportsline model features the same people who drove projections to all three major fantasy sites. Fantasy Baseball Cheat Sheets available in the league on many major sites are updated weekly, and this site offers fantasy baseball predictions daily. There are top five players in all positions from April 21-27th.
Fantasy Baseball DH Rankings for Week 5
Marcell Ozunakyle Schwarberyordan Alvarezmatt Merviskyle Manzardo
Mervis ran 82 home runs in 1,435 minor league at-bats, and his strength ultimately captured his everyday role in Florida. He already has six home runs in 2025, but he still has a phenomenal 75% of the CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball League. That number increases with the possibility of 30 Homer season.
Week 5 Fantasy Baseball Catchers Ranking
William Contrerasj.T. Realmutoaustin Wellssean Murphyyainer Diaz
In the eyes of the model, there is a very sudden drop in productivity from Realmuto to Wells, which is where you can earn massive profits when streaming effectively. Murphy and Drake Baldwin share their catching duties in Atlanta, but Murphy definitely offers a lot of pop when he’s lined up with four home runs and .876 OPS in his previous 10 games.
Fantasy Baseball Rankings for the 5th Week
Bryce Harperpete Alonsofradimir Guerrero Jr. Matt Olsonluis Arraez
Arraez doesn’t have the power profile to expect from a 1 base, but three consecutive batting titles draw a fairly clear picture of the value he can add. However, he only starts in 68% of the league, while the other four options are in 96% above the fantasy baseball lineup. Meanwhile, Alonso leads the NL in RBI (24), slugging (.718) and OPS (1.171).
Second ranking of fantasy baseball in the fifth week
Blythe Trangology Albies Jose Altuve Cristian Canberandres Gimenez
Campbell was just his fourth pick from Georgia Tech in 2023, but he absolutely exploded in his first full professional season and emerged as a consensus top 10 prospect ahead of the 2025 season. He has lived up to the hype with a .301/.402/.493 slash line in 21 major games. If you’re in any of the 4% of the CBS Sports League, if he’s somehow made available, scooping him up as soon as possible.
Fantasy Baseball 3 Base Rankings for the 5th Week

Machado has been incredibly consistent throughout his 14-year big league career, continuing to produce in the middle of the thrilling Padres lineup. He has cut .305/.374/.488 so far this season, and he is also offensive on base, with six steels already increasing his pace to steal 44 bases in the season. He’s only a double-digit base that has been stolen four times in his career.

Week 5 Fantasy Baseball Center Field Rankings
Aaron Judge Jarren Duran Lewis Robert Jazz Chishol Michael Harris
Despite a nasty season with an average of .154 in his first 19 games in 2024 with the best White Sox team of all time and an aggravated .154 in his first 19 games in 2025, Robert’s tools are hard to ignore here, and his level of activity at Besepas strengthened his overall fantasy profile. He has already swiped seven bags, and his unpleasant .186 BABIP is a sign that there are probably some positive regressions that are expected.

Fernando Tatis Jr.juan sotowilyer abreucody bellingernick castellanos
Fernando Tatis Jr. leads the National League with eight home runs after going to yards for Sunday night baseball when the Padres beat the Astros. Ranking of the starting pitchers for fantasy baseball in the fifth week
Kevin Gausmanerick Feddespencer Schwellenbachhunter Brownnick Lodolo
It is important to pay particular attention to your weekly starting pitcher rankings. This list will usually skew towards a starter who is likely to get two starts in a given week. Schwenbach in particular stands out here after his three spectacular starts began the season. He finally got a bit shattered in his fourth start, but this week both teams are cooled off offensively after the hot start, taking the ball against the Cardinals and Diamondbacks.

AROLDIS CHAPMANRAISEL IGLESIASHOSH HADERROBERT SUAREZLUKE WEAVER
Hader was pretty much unruly at the start of the season, giving up five hits and one run, attacking more than 13 jobs in six innings. Meanwhile, Aroldis Chapman is on the fifth team in four years, but in Boston everyone with 13 strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings and 13 strikeouts with 1.08 ERA is still blowing away.
