You probably won’t need a sleeper in the first week.
This applies to the sleeper pitchers that you’ll find in another article, but especially for batsmen who are less susceptible to matchups and are difficult to predict on a weekly basis.
But maybe you’ve already suffered an injury bug. Maybe you’ll play in a league with a deeper lineup and don’t have a reliable starter in every spot. You will see why you need a sleeper hitter in the first week. Probably not.
Anyway, I have sleeper recommendations for you. Note that you limit your choice to those who are listed on the roster in less than 80% of the CBS Sports League.
This first week actually requires two lists. As Thursday’s season begins, some leagues will choose to treat the opening weekend as their own four-day scoring period (CBS standard), while others will combine it with the first week to add a longer 11-day scoring period. No matter how your league chooses to handle it, I’ll have you covered.
