Lawrence – Cheryl Druhl will be the third dean candidate to give a public presentation about her vision for the University of Kansas Business School.
Druehl’s presentation is scheduled for April 8th from 4-5pm at Room 1020 at Capitol Federal Hall. The event was also live streamed and the passcode is 800688.

Druehl is Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Studies and is a professor within the Information Systems and Operations Management area at George Mason University’s Costello Business College in Fairfax, Virginia.
The fourth final candidate will be announced approximately two business days prior to the campus visit. Their presentation will be held on April 10th from 4-5pm at Room 1020 in Capitol Federal Hall.

As a senior associate dean in faculty affairs and research at the Costello College of Business College, Druehl sees faculty success, leading the university’s strategic planning, promoting research and teaching excellence, and overseeing school-level teacher awards and professional development programs. She also collaborates on recruitment, retention, evaluation, promotion and tenure initiatives while advocating for research needs with faculty.
Additionally, Druehl teaches operational management, supply chain management, and management of technology and innovation processes.
Druehl’s research focuses on product development, innovation contests and supply chain management. She has published her research in journals, including the Productions and Operations Management Journal and the Journal of Operations Management and Decision Sciences Journal.
Druehl is the department editor of Innovation and Project Management for Journal of Operations Management. She is an associate editor of the Decision Sciences Journal and has been featured in the Editorial Review Board on Engineering Management and the IEEE Transactions. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Product Innovation and Technology Management, the Institute for Production and Operations Management, and on the Operations Research and Management Science and Technology, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship section.
Druehl received his PhD in Business Administration and Masters in Business Studies from Stanford University, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
The Dean of Business Search Committee includes representatives of faculty, staff, students and alumni, led by Ambrill, dean of William Allen White Journalism & Mass Communications, and Jason Hornberger, vice-president of finance.
