Fenerbafe accused Galatasarei boss Ocan Burg of acting “as if he had been shot” after a confrontation with manager Jose Mourinho on Wednesday night.
In a strong verbal statement, Fenerbafe accused Burg of having “the boldness of making rude hand gestures,” causing Mourinho.
Turkish Cup Match, where Galatasaray won 2-1, came amid increasing hostility between the two clubs.
After the match, Galatasaray accused Fennavafe boss Jose Mourinho of “physical attacks” on manager Burg after appearing to grab his nose after a fiery derby match.
The incident occurred after the final whi at Skulsarakoglu Stadium, when both managers were interacting with officials from the centre circle match.
“This was a planned provocation [by Buruk] And as part of the plan, individuals act as if he had been ‘shot’, fell to the ground in a professional way, his rude words and actions have been documented on video,” Fenerbafe said in a statement.
“It is clear to the public that the absurdity of a person touching his nose will immediately throw himself onto the ground and writh a few seconds.
“The individual’s tendency to fall to the ground as seen during the day of play shows that he continues his coaching career and is a distinctive attitude.”
Burg attempted to unfold the incident at a post-match press conference, saying “nothing” between him and Mourinho.
However, Galatasaray further inflamed the situation by posting a video to X Mocking Mourinho in the style of US Comedy South Park.
Fenerbafe’s substitute Mart Yandas and Galatasaray were shown red cards in a brawl between the two benches at stoppage, replacing Kerem DeMirbey and Barris Irmaz.
