Former Louisiana State wide receiver Kylen Lacey is suspected of having died from a self-harmed gunshot wound after police chase… TMZ learned.
According to documents and law enforcement sources… The Houston area call for service was held in the Houston area around 11:15pm on Saturday nights in the Houston area. The reporter reportedly fired a weapon into the ground before fleeing the scene, Officer Lacey, after a verbal discussion with her.
Officers say they found Lacey’s car and tried to pull him closer, but Lacey kicked him out, leading to a pursuit of the vehicle police.
According to an officer, the car crashed. And when they tried to detain Lacey, they say they discovered he had died from what “seems like a self-harm gunshot wound.” The officer says he recovered the handgun from the car.
To date, no official cause of death has been announced by medical inspectors.
Kylen’s loved ones spoke about the importance of mental health after his death, including Kenny Lacey.
He writes: “Don’t be cool with “I’m fine, or I’m good.” Deeply knowing something is not right. Mental health is authentic and in most cases it is invisible. Don’t ignore the signs.
NFL candidates were accused of being accused of murdering a 78-year-old man in a car accident in December 2024. He became police in January and was arrested… he was later released on $151,000 bail.
Prosecutors charged Lacey with negligent murder, felony death and reckless operation of the vehicle. The big ju judge was scheduled to begin hearing evidence in his case on Monday.
Kylen announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft in December just days after the crash.
