The court of Magistrate Brikama, which was principally sided by Judge A. Fofana, recently sentenced one U.S. citizen, Ricky Usanbra, a D120,000 fine, who was appointed to prison for 10 years after pleading guilty to possessing an unlicensed firearm.
The defendant, not represented by his attorney, was previously charged with one crime of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
In his plea for ease, the accused urged the court to mitigate justice with mercy on the ground that he was the first criminal.
The prosecutors applied to bid two magazines, and the Pistol marked Taurus with the Police Intervention Unit (PIU).
Remember that in January 2025 in the village of Sifour on the west coast of the Gambia, the accused was found in possession of a Taurus marked with a 9mm pistol with a bullet with serial number PT1111G2 and an 82 (82) bullet.
The prosecutor’s team was led by Deputy Director Bitesawane.
