Adaklu-Waya – Volta Regional Minister James Gunu says conscious efforts are being made to promote regional development through strategic industrial investments.
Therefore, he called on stakeholders to work effectively with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) to bring the development they need to know.
Gunu said a total of 2,700 acres of land have been acquired and registered at Adaklu to support the government’s 24-hour economic policy.
The Minister also stated this when inspecting the land in Adakulwa and assuring the people of the Volta region that when it was completed, the industrial park would promote a 24-hour economic policy.

Adaklu District CEO Jerry Ameko explained that the industrial park includes cassava and rice processing plants.
Therefore, Ameko has shown that farming is a viable business, that young people need to embrace them to create wealth and improve their living conditions, and asks young people to take advantage of the available opportunities to create jobs themselves.
He also called on young people to distance themselves from social evils and guide their energies into productive activities, saying that while the future seemed bright, young people could only become responsible adults when they made informed choices and focused.
Additionally, the DCE ensured that Congress provided a fostering environment for local and international investors to explore the numerous investment opportunities in the district and invest in the fields of agriculture and industrialization for the mutual benefits of people and investors.
Ameko once again said it was time for local landowners to register the land and work closely with the council to avoid invasion. This usually leads to lawsuits, adding that it is important for people to unite and accept different views to maintain peace.
