Ghana is President John Dramani Mahama, who has new administrative capital as part of a measure to permanently fire the capital Accra.
As a result, the government begins to develop new administrative cities on the Accra Plains.
In the elected government agency, the president said it will be moved to the proposed new management hub connected to Accra by highways and rail lines.
The president informed this in Dodois on Friday to express his gratitude to the region after his emphatic victory in the December 2024 poll.

“We believe this new city will be somewhere on the Accra Plains from Bondase, which spans between the larger Accra, the Eastern and Volta regions.
“The city is stretching down the banks of the Volta River, and Railway Link and Express Lane will connect the new city to Accra,” Mahama revealed.
According to President Mahama, “Akra is growing too much. The capital is facing pressure from rapid urbanization, traffic congestion and inadequate infrastructure. Now is the time to plan and plan new cities that can alleviate this burden.”
During a meeting between the European Union ambassador and the EU Chamber of Commerce, the president first discussed the idea of a new city when he was elected for the general in May 2024.
In the local road infrastructure, President Mahama noted that he is aware of the daily frustrated drivers facing the region’s poor road network.
“He said he applauds under the big push, rehabilitation and construction of Adentado Dowa Road, Latecy Link, Temahabul Motorway Road, Apollonia-Oibilroad, Tema Highway expansion and other feeder roads in the region.
He further stated that it will be implemented to stop the flow of hospitals at Dawhenya-Afienya, Afienya-Dodowa, Doryumu-Dodowa, Ashaiman-Madina Roads and Liberation Road, Polo Court-Elwak-Christ, King Corridor and Ring Road La-general.
He announced the reintroduction of National Sanitation Day to remove filth in the capital.

President Mahama said he is the chief executive of major cities, local governments and districts. President Mahama said he was responsible for the success of the National Sanitation Day event in their area, saying all households would maintain their openings, drains in front of the house would be enforced and those who did not comply will be properly approved.
