Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda O’Crew is urging candidates for Metropolitan, Municipality and District Chief Executive Officers (MMDCE) to stop incitement of Congress members to vote for Congress members to oppose the president’s MMDCE candidate.
She said that if she thinks that other candidates will give them the opportunity to nominate a presidential candidate, it wouldn’t happen.
“You shouldn’t incite people to shame the president and not vote for presidential candidates. If you think your name is a finalist just like you’re appointed, that’s a lie.
If you do not vote for a candidate, make sure that no candidate will be appointed either. If we have to re-appoint someone, we’ll go outside the box to do that,” she warned.

Of the 32 votes, 10 government appointees and 22 elected votes, Dordoe secured 17 votes, not reaching the number needed to confirm.
Despite previous pleas to Congressional members to vote overwhelmingly for the candidate, Congressional members were determined and stubborn when they voted against him.
