Halibo recalls a packet of Dutch sweets after finding it contains traces of cannabis.

A spokesman for the Dutch Food Safety Organization (NVWA) said some reported “dizziness” after eating sweets. “Samples have been taken and cannabis has been discovered,” the agency told Dutch broadcaster SBS6.
A Haribo spokesman told the BBC it was working with police to “establish facts regarding the pollution.”
The NVWA found that the three packs were contaminated, but Haribo said it recalls the entire inventory as a precaution.
The bag in question has the best date for January 2026.
It’s not clear how many people felt bad.
The NVWA said police were investigating how cannabis fell into candy, Dutch media reports.
The agency said there were bags in circulation “when consumed, it could lead to health complaints such as dizziness.”
“Please don’t eat sweets,” the statement added.
It is not clear whether the contaminated product is a real Haribo bag or a fake.
Haribo added that consumer safety is a top priority and that it is taking the incident “very seriously.”
The sweets giant said the recalls are only in place in the Netherlands, and other regions have not been affected.
All other products are consumed safely, the company says.
