Harvey Weinstein takes a vacation from Rikers Island… to Bellevue Hospital

Harvey Weinstein and his team have just scored a bit of a legal victory… because he’s at least temporarily out of Rikers Island.
The dishonorable film producer heads to Bellevue Hospital after lawyer Imran Ansari and his New York medical consultant Craig Rothfeld petition the court to move him due to the deterioration of his health.
The judge approved the move on Thursday… Weinstein was placed in Bellevue waiting for his hearing – this is scheduled for April 24th at 2:15pm ET.
Weinstein’s team claims he doesn’t get enough care from Riker… including claiming that at least one of his illnesses was misdiagnosed.

Many of Weinstein’s illnesses were also listed in the documents, including cancer, diabetes, extensive coronary artery disease, chest pain caused by lower levels of blood flowing to the heart, obstructive sleep apnea, thyroid problems, obesity, chronic low back pain, leg pain, anemia, and hypertension.
Weinstein has also requested millions of dollars from Bellevue Hospital… “He says he cares for him and trusts them, but he claims he is physically and psychologically struggling with his “terrifying” treatment, including bringing Bellevue back to prison before he can fully recover.
A retrial of HW is underway… A ju apprentice was selected to hear about the incident in New York City earlier this week. He is charged with sexual assault and rape – a charge he was previously convicted before the appeal court overturned them.
