A helicopter plunged from the sky above New York City on Thursday, crashing into the Hudson River, causing a horrifying incident to be caught up in video.
Various local reports show that multiple people have been killed. Several shocked witnesses recorded the chopper on the video – some of which can be seen on the surface….The rest appeared to be submerged.

Police said the helicopter descended near Pier 40 in Hudson River Park, but was close to the New Jersey side of the river just after 3pm local time.

The witness reportedly said he heard “noisy noise” at the time of the crash.
Preliminary reports show that the emergency boat responded to the crash quickly. Local news outlets report that six people were on board, including the pilot, two other adults and three children, all of which were killed. ABC7 New York reports that passengers were family members visiting from Spain.
The cause of the crash has not been determined.
