Kyle Palmieri has signed a new two-year contract with New York islanders. Because one better option among free agent scoring wingers is out of the market.
The Palmieri contract averages an average annual amount of $4.75 million. He has signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the islanders, signed in September 2021. According to Packpedia, the New Deal has a full non-trade clause in its first year, with a non-trade list of 16 teams for the 2026-27 season.

Palmieri, a 34-year-old Long Island native, scored 48 points (24 goals and 24 assists) in 82 games last season. He has scored over 20 goals in seven of his last 10 NHL seasons.
In 900 career games against the Islanders, New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks, Palmieri scored 527 points (270 goals, 257 assists). He scored 32 points (18 goals, 14 assists) in 68 Stanley Cup playoff games.
The islanders also signed a one-year contract with defensive man Adam Bokvist. He scored 14 points in 35 games last season between the Florida Panthers and the Islanders.
New York has had a notable offseason so far. They won the NHL Draft Lottery for the first time since 2009 and their first overall pick in the entry draft next month. They also replaced General Manager Lumoliello with Tampa Bay Lightning Matthew Dersch, appointed as Islander GM and Executive Vice President.
Sources have told ESPN that the contract framework was agreed before Darche took over as general manager, but he has received a final call on whether to proceed with the deal.
