Jeff Fisher is currently the Honko of the Indoor Football League, and he tells TMZ Sports that he is about to grow dramatically next year… perhaps with the help of some well-known celebrities.
The former NFL head coach was recently named one of Arena Football’s commissioners…and while Org enjoys this successful inauguration season, he said 2026 will be “a spectacular for everyone.”
Currently, there are only eight teams in the league, but Fisher said there could be as many as 16 by next season.
As to where the expansion franchises are and who owns and operates them – Fisher said he can’t say for ongoing negotiations…
“There’s a lot of interest there,” he said Monday.
For now, Ex-Rams’ sideline manager said it is still pumped for the current iteration of AF1.
Wrestling legend and his authentic American beer are the official beer sponsor of the league. And Fisher said he hopes the former WWE superstar will appear in games that air nationwide in the near future.
Meanwhile, the AF1 Championship Game is set to go down later this summer…and Fisher has turned his eyes to transform the organization into a great power.
“We want to be the best indoor league,” he said.
