Jonathan Anderson, from Magherafeld, will leave Loewe in 11 years
Fashion designer Jonathan Anderson resigned 11 years later as creative director at Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe.
Originally from Magherafeld in Londonderry County, Anderson is also the founder of his own label, JW Anderson.
He is known for his innovative style and genderfluid designs, creating iconic look, such as singer Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance attire.
Posting on Instagram, Anderson said he was fortunate to be surrounded by people surrounded by imagination, skills, tenacity and wit.
“While my own chapter is being guided to the end, Loewe’s story continues for years to come, and I will be prideful to watch it.”
The move is part of a major restructuring of work for global fashion brands, following several resignations and forced departures.
Anderson didn’t elaborate on the next step, but the women’s clothing reports that Daily Daily is a “virtually open secret” that the designers are set up for Christian Dior.
In January, British designer Kim Jones resigned as the artistic director of men’s wear at a French fashion house.
The New York Times reports that once Anderson can take over both sides of the business, his position to “give credit to ideas” is still not met.

Loewe said under Anderson’s direction, the brand “has been able to “experience extraordinary growth and establish itself as a pioneer in presenting a contemporary vision of luxury fashion and culture.”
Anderson trained at the University of Fashion in London before beginning his career in Prada’s marketing department.
He launched his brand of the same name in 2008 and was later appointed creative director of Loewe, a Spanish leather goods brand founded in 1846.
He has won many famous awards in December, including Designer of the Year at the 2024 Fashion Awards.
He is also the son of former Irish rugby captain Willie Anderson.
