Katie Thurston gives you updates on breast cancer…experiences medically induced menopause

Katie Thurston’s cancer treatment sent her body into menopause… one of the many symptoms she deals while fighting stage 4 breast cancer.
The former reality TV star shared the video on social media… She told her fans that she is now experiencing hot flashes as her cancer treatment forced her to menopause.
For those who don’t know, chemotherapy is one of several ways that women can experience early menopause… so it’s not entirely shocking that this is happening to Katie while she deals with severe cancer.
Katie says her hot flashes are ruining her sleep… she also deals with dehydration for her medication – it made her lips very cracked.
As we said… Thurston announced his breast cancer diagnosis in February, shortly after he was engaged to comedian Jeff Alkuri. The two traveled the world together, but the entire experience had to be shortened so that she could begin treatment.
Katie said the diagnosis sent her through her emotion ga… before she sat down and started looking for other women like her who have been experiencing similar difficulties.
Jeff and Katie got married about a month after their cancer diagnosis… So, Thurston is still living her life to the fullest, even when faced with serious health challenges.
