NAIROBI – The M-PESA Foundation has committed Sh254 million for free medical services in 30 counties.
Phase 3 of the project will run for 11 months.
Already, the foundation has more than 5,000 people running medical camps in Kajard and Embu counties, benefiting from free medical services such as women’s health consultations, cancer screenings, prenatal clinics, prenatal clinics and child clinics.
“Health is one of the foundation’s key pillars. We believe our goal is to change our lives and we can work together with our partners and county government to address the healthcare needs associated with our community.”
The medical camp is being carried out in collaboration with Zuri Health, Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital and the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) and is boarded to provide specialized care to people with disabilities.
In the first phase, the foundation held 35 camps in 35 counties, benefiting more than 60,000 people, and in the second face of the camp, 40 camps held in 39 counties, transforming more than 100,000 lives through free medical services.
Since the launch of the third phase, the foundation has so far invested Sh377 million in medical camp programs.
