The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is apologizing to the Menendez family for not giving a high-level warning that a crime scene photograph will be shown at a recent hearing…but they have added a selection chosen to show the full truth.
In a statement to TMZ… The LA County DA office says it is apologizing for the upset nature of the crime scene photos they have shown – adding that it was not the office’s intention to disrupt family members.
However, these hearings are said to be “intended to aim at how painfully clear the truth is revealed”…and therefore it is said that photographs need to be shown to portray the atrocities of criminality.
The DA’s office places part of its responsibility for Eric and Lyle’s demands of tolerance… The move is always certain to be “a case that has been legally dormant for over 18 years and will cause emotions to all involved.”

The office points out that allegations filed by prosecutors often explain the murders of Jose and Kitty Menendez… explaining how the two brothers fired 13 shots from a shotgun to kill their parents, as well as other horrifying details.

In any case, the LA County DA office continues, “We apologize for not giving advance warning that, as long as the photo depiction of this conduct confuses Menendez’s family in court, it will be explained in detail not only through words but also through photographs of the crime scene.”
The LA County DA office also defends district attorney Nathan Hochmann’s actions… he points out that he has met more than three hours with more than 20 families of Eric and Lyle.
The statement ends with a blanket trigger warning… telling those who are coming to the hearing to “prepare the difficult details and images surrounding these tragic circumstances.”
The statement does not include responses to allegations showing photographs of the crime scene during a hearing during Friday’s Res trial.
Like we said… 85-year-old Eric and Lyle’s aunts were found to be unresponsive in their hotel rooms this weekend.

Brian Friedman – A lawyer representing the family – Showing these images and criticising the prosecutor… Calling the movement “deprecating behaviour” [that] It was a clear violation of Mercy’s law, which required absolute empathy for the victim. ”
Mark Jelagos – lawyers for Eric and Lyle, who co-hosting our “Two Angry Men” podcast – issued a similar statement at a press conference on Friday after the judge granted Eric and Lyle a resentententenging hearing next week.
We reached out to Freedman and Geragos about the apology of the DA’s office… No words so far.
