Lavar Ball kept the tabs on his son’s rapid rise in rap games despite recent serious health issues.
TMZ Sports broke the story earlier this year – Lavar has amputated his right leg after complications from the infection… and in a video of a chat with his middle son, it is clear that he helped him during a period of rough time when his love and pride for his family.
The 57-year-old shared a video with us… This shows his dad excitedly telling all his music career about all the updates he has in his music career, including landing a set at the Rolling Loud in Los Angeles.
“That’s what I’m talking about, son,” he said. “S *** is over, but you still get a hoop in the backend.
“Get a prosthetic leg there and bounce off with one foot.”
It is unclear exactly when the video was filmed, but you can hear the harshness of Lavar’s voice. In an interview with Slam Magazine, Ball said he went under different knives three times to fix potentially life-threatening issues and received four separate blood transfusions.
“It made me think, ‘Man, just kill me and let me go with my business,’ he said. “I’ve come to think it’s probably time to shut it down.”
Despite the fight for health, Lavar was able to temporarily put his stress and worries aside after hearing Gelo’s story about linking with Lil Wayne.
Lavar has not been seen in public since the procedure. His youngest son, LaMelo, shared a photo of the two who said it was “right” to check in with his pop when the Hornets were in town and were in town to take on the Lakers.
The leader of Ball Femme hopes what happened to him is a lesson for others… encouraging people to get doctors and routine appointments.
“Get a medical checkup,” LB said. “Do what you should do. If you don’t have insurance, go to emergency care. I’ll explain this a little, so I managed to prevent all of this from happening and this.”
