Red Bull plans to replace Liam Lawson with Yuzui Hornda after two races in the first season of Formula next week from Japan’s Grand Prix.
Lawson returns to the Racing Bulls from the Suzuka Race in a straight swap with Tsunoda after a difficult start as Max Verstappen’s teammate.
Red Bull has not commented and an official announcement is not expected on Wednesday.
Lawson, 23, has endured a disastrous start to 2025 so far, knocked out in the first phase of three qualifying sessions (including one of the sprint formats), struggling with racepace compared to Verstappen, who has not scored points in Australia and China.
