Fans of “The Mandalorian” have pulled out their wallets and said “this is the way” of this new auction item… The lightsaber used in the show and used by Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill!
GWS Auctions are selling Saber… Starting bids for $25,000. So Super Star Wars fans need to empty their bank accounts for this.
According to the site, two versions of the lightsabers – a metallic one called “hero” lightsabers used for close-up shots and inserts, and a light “stunt” lightsabers used in common shots and action sequences. This is a stunt lightsaber.
If you don’t know… Hamill appeared in several episodes of the Hit Disney+ Show. He used his lightsabers to tear a series of enemies with his battleships.
Body doubles were also used…and the two performers were integrated using CGI technology. Check out your scene – it’s a pretty impressive technique.
Luke’s lightsabers were placed in a custom designed museum-quality display that captures the essence of vintage Star Wars toys perfectly, while still maintaining damage with respect to the series’ old school aesthetic… It’s pretty important as it goes with Leasrt 25 gs.
The auction will be open on March 22nd…and it appears that bids will need to be made in an increment of $2,000. Therefore, this collectible can break the bank.
