First Capital Bank (FCB) PLC has committed a K5 million sponsorship to the Malawi Law Society (MLS). This will support the nation’s all-lawyer umbrella organizations at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for March 28th-30th, 2025 at Sumbadon Copora, Mambochi.
This year’s meeting is under the theme. Continuous public criticism maintains professionalism in an age of socio-political divergence.
Lemmie ng’omba decided to support MLS to make the general meeting and meeting successful, as he emphasized that the donations were made based on the company’s duties and roles played by the general public by speaking at the check-handover ceremony at Blantyre, the legal and company secretary.
Ng’omba added that the company considers this year’s theme to be a general concern for the nation.
“We hope that the solutions that will be made during the conference will likely support the nation during this period of diverse political and social issues by helping nations come together and bring tolerance among the general public as they map how they can move forward towards future general elections.
“Looking at our economic situation, nations need to have a solution together and be together to move forward,” says Ng’omba.
Mcharven Ngwata, president of the MLS Southern Chapter, gestured the FCB as support progressed as preparations require a lot of finances and money covers many areas.
“To be honest, this is a timely donation and it plays a big role during that period, so I don’t take it for granted,” Ngwata said.
He further revealed that the conference will address many issues that relate to maintaining professionalism.
