A delegation from Yamaha Music Bay FZE, accompanied by Masahiro Kang of Japanese Ambassador Mauritius, met with Minister of Education Mahendo Gangapersad and Human Resources this morning to discuss the promotion of music education at the primary level of Mauritius public schools.
During the meeting, the team presented Yamaha School Project, focusing on the development of music education and instrumental music programs in elementary schools in various countries, including Egypt, Colombia, Vietnam and India.
Minister Gungapersad praised the Yamahini initiative for recognizing the potential to increase creativity and develop non-cognitive skills among young students. Expressing his enthusiasm for the benefits of the project, he noted that several factors must be carefully considered in its implementation in Mauritius.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Kang for his support of the Kaizen Project and reiterated his commitment to further strengthening Mauritius and Japan’s ties.
