Mick Foley tells TMZ Sports that he “feels better” after being involved in a horrifying car accident last week…and he gave personal screams to “Lady Luck,” “The Man Upstairs,” and “Rock Johnson.”
The wrestling icon flipped the car over while driving on a Florida road on April 1… and although his ride looks like a beat-up can, Foley somehow escaped relatively unharmed.
He told us on Wednesday that all he had persisted were some wounds, bumps and bruises – and although his upper body still hurts a little, he told him he would work.
“It could have gotten worse,” he said.
Foley thanked him for his higher powers to keep him safe during the wreck…and he showed Johnson a great love for the way WWE legend checked him in in the aftermath.
Foley told us while in the hospital, but he didn’t miss the day of work – something he was clearly proud of.
The 59-year-old urged everyone to wear seat belts.
“If there’s a lesson to learn,” he said, “it’s a buckle-up for safety.”
