The two minors were arrested for murder in a fatal hit-and-run collision captured on camera from inside an Albuquerque, New Mexico… and authorities claim that a boy laughing in the video was laughing in the video before he mowed 63-year-old Scott Dwight Harbormel in May 2024.
TMZ has obtained some ominous footage. Authorities believe it marks the moment when Jonathan Overbay, William Garcia and Messiah Hayes decided to hit Harbor Mel with a stolen car. You can hear someone in the car tell the driver to “just hit him, hit him, hit his bra” and “go like 15, 20”.
The car accelerates auditoryly, laughs are heard, and the video ends just before a fatal moment. Police say Harbormel was working on a bike around 4:40am when he was hit in the dedicated bike lane on the road.
A news release from law enforcement says that when the vehicle is thrown by Harbor Mail and his bike towards the passenger side of the vehicle, you can hear “a loud noise that includes metal flexion.”
The Albuquerque Police Department says 11-year-old Hayes was arrested Tuesday, and 13-year-old Overbay was arrested Monday. Garcia, who was 15 at the time of the crime, is also being sought by the authorities. It’s unclear who’s driving.
Detectives arrested Overbay for alleged murder, conspiracy to commit murder, the scene of an accident with major physical harm and death, and for illegal possession of a handgun by a person. Garcia faces the same fee.
Officials believe that 11-year-old Hayes is the one who wields a handgun while laughing on the video. He is too young to be charged with murder… but detectives say he is working with the prosecutor to work together to determine the charges he may face.

This case is creepy like a fallen in Nevada. You may remember… The two teens were mowed into a bike bike in 2023 – and felt the glow of video recording when they killed him.
We asked Albuquerque police if they believe the New Mexico incident is a copy of the Vegas incident… so far, there are no words.
