Aftershocks and airstrikes hit Myanmar
Over 1,600 people were confirmed to have died in Myanmar over the weekend, and more than 3,000 were injured in the worst earthquake struck the country for a century. Here is a map of the damage and an image of the area.
Yesterday’s aftershocks struck Mandalay, Myanmar’s second largest city, near the epicenter of the first tremor, knocking down several previously surviving buildings. I fear the lost person. That possibility drops sharply after this night when the 72-hour critical survival window closes.
Amidst the destruction of nature, governing the junta over the weekend continued a brutal bombing campaign. The long-term civil war destroyed the country, leaving nearly 20 million people in need of shelters and food even before trembling, according to the United Nations
Power: Experts say earthquakes can change the trajectory of civil war. The Arakan army, a powerful rebel group, gained control of most of the Rakhine province. You can misuse this moment to bring the country’s south from the army.
Aid: While support from other countries has arrived, doubts remained about how Myanmar’s military would distribute much-needed relief.
“They have a long track record of using aid as weapons,” said Scott Marciel, US ambassador to Myanmar from 2016 to 2020.
Thailand: At least 11 people have died after an earthquake hit the ground in a single building in Bangkok.
Secret History of the Ukrainian War
After Russian troops crossed to Ukraine in 2022, two Ukrainian generals secretly traveled to a US military facility in Germany. There, they sealed out a partnership that led America to war much closer than previously known.
The deal, known only to a small group of staff, became part of what the Biden administration framed as an effort to rescue Ukraine and protect the post-World War II order in the West. Also, the Ukrainians were able to survive three years of long battle with much larger and extremely powerful enemies.
Now, when President Trump begins to revoke elements of this agreement, here is the untold story of America’s hidden role in military operations against Russian invasion forces.
And if you’re on the verge of time, we have the main point here.
Details of Trump
Syria has formed a new government
Syrian interim president Ahmed Arshala announced his new caretaker government over the weekend, completing his oath yesterday with 23 Cabinet Ministers. Some are close allies, while others are independent. He appointed ministers from each of the major ethnic minorities. Among the 23 were five Assad-era ministers who served before the civil war.
Alshara had most of his official power at hand. He left allies in charge of defense and in charge of foreign and interior ministry.
The following: The government will hold power for five years, adopt a permanent constitution and enable elections.
Other locations in the region: Israel and Hamas informed that an updated ceasefire meeting was ongoing, but details were elusive.
Trump’s aid and visa cutoffs put students at the University of Afghanistan in the United States in danger. When the Taliban returned to power in 2021 and targeted campus, hundreds of students were evacuated to sister schools in other countries.
Currently, funds are running out in June, so students will need to go home. Women can not receive an education and persecute Western ideals.
Living: Gananath Obeisekele, an anthropologist and a leading intellectual figure in both his hometown of Sri Lanka and western academia, died at the age of 95.

The skateboard is empty again
Before skateboarder Tony Hawk landed the 900 in 1999, it was named after the number of rotations in mobility needs, but the trick seemed impossible. And vertical skates, or “veils,” were popular as examples of Hawks – up until now.
Lately, young skater Rush has been flooded with social media, and he is facing himself in the air and shaping the future of sports in flight. The revival shocked some veterans, but Hawk was able to push the form back into the public eye. He is running a Vert Skating campaign to take part in the 2028 Olympics. A final decision is expected on April 9th.
