After introducing the Joint Land Bill in “the Last Moment,” lawmakers confronted Agriculture, Water and Land Reform Minister Kare Schletwein.
Official opposition leader Mchenry Venaani and Swapo back venture Tjekero Tweya are opposed to the table of Schlettwein’s bills.

Venaani was the first to oppose the bill, questioning the minister’s intention to represent the bill in the 11th hour.
“Why did you represent this bill, Minister, knowing how long this Congress has?” he said.
Tweya said it cannot be submitted to check such bills.
“I hope we can probably retreat a bit, make a principled decision and say that the bill is here, but in order to do justice it and respond to the protests of the people of Namibia, it should not fall under normal procedures and expire,” he said.
Landless People’s Movement chief Whip Utaara Mootu told Namibian this week that the bill has too many weaknesses.
“He knew we didn’t have enough time, but they wanted to hurry up with the bill with the numbers they have now.
