Naisom Week, 27 MPs loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territories (FCT), banned Rivers Governor Siminali Ali Hubara from accessing the state legislature on Wednesday morning, preventing him from presenting the 2025 budget.
The report shows that Governor Fabara has arrived at the General Assembly to implement the key provisions of the True Copy of the Supreme Court’s Judgment (CTC).
However, council staff speaking anonymously argued that there was no formal communication regarding the governor’s visit.
“I don’t know that the governor is scheduled to be in Congress today (Wednesday). If such information existed, Rt. Hon. Speaker would have notified us. For now, we don’t know about his visit,” the source said.
