Dangote Refinery has started selling gasoline at N865 per liter. This is an increase from previous price of N815 per liter for N50.
The move comes after the Naira halt for crude transactions with the federal government.
Oil marketers, including Mrs., began lifting gasoline from refineries, which have a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day.
The refinery had previously reduced its price to N815 per liter, but in 2025 it was its third cut.
Despite the price of crude oil falling to $59 a barrel, refining costs remain high yesterday due to an increase in the cost of importing crude oil in dollars.
Experts have expected a fall in gasoline prices following a fall in oil prices, but the high refinery costs offset the profits.
