The suspected temptator has not yet contacted the victim’s family.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has confirmed the acquiring of entrepreneurs in Eket, the state’s Eket local government area.
The victim, identified as Dennis Ajah, was reportedly accused of his business facility at 94 Afaha Eket Road in Eket on Thursday, April 10th.
Police Commissioner Baba Azare confirmed the development in an interview with the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) on Wednesday in Eckett.
He said the victim was accused of three gunmen in military uniforms and drove him to an unknown destination on the Toyota Camry around 9pm.
“The lawsuit has been reported to the police and efforts are underway to release the victim as soon as possible,” Azare said.
Correspondent Nan, who visited the victim’s business facility, reports that his shop was clearly not open due to the incident.
Nan learns that the victims are wholesalers and deal with rice, beans, galli, guinea corn and more.
A family source told NAN on condition of anonymity that the adductors had not yet contacted the victim’s relationship due to ransom at the time of filing the report.
Nan reports that Aja’s aiding was the second major case of Eket this year.
Ransom aidization has become one of the common crimes in many Nigerian cities, whether government officials, entrepreneurs, and even students, clergy, or even targets.
