Former President Muhammadu Buhari says he took office with the same physical assets he had when he took office on May 29, 2015.
Buhari said this in a meeting with members of the Progressive Governor’s Forum (PGF) at his residence in Kaduna.
A statement issued by Buhari spokesman Galba Shev on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, urged the former president to adopt a citizen-centric approach to members of the Progressive Governor’s Forum, saying that leadership presents both challenges and opportunities and balancing the two will significantly advance national progress.
The former president expressed confidence in the progress made by the governor elected on all Progressive Congress (APC) platforms, and repeated his call for continued dedication to the country’s progress.
Buhari thanked President Bora Tinubu for renovating Kaduna’s home and explained that while the building looked very similar, many improvements have been made.
He thanked the governor for the visit and said that he had worked with some of them, while some others were new to him.
PGF Chairman and IMO Governor Hope Uzodimma said their visit was an opportunity for Eid-El-Fitr to Buhari, “to convey a sincere expression of gratitude and enduring respect for your enormous contribution to Nigeria’s democracy and strengthening the party.”
