Abuja – The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) has declared that Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, a petition for recall of the senator representing Kogi Central, is inadequate.
The election agency has said in a post office via a verified X-handle that “the petition for a recall of a senator representing the Kogi Central Senate District does not meet the requirements of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (amended).”
The suffering lawmaker has been fighting Senate Speaker Godwill Akpabio over allegations of sexual harassment.
Following the allegations, the Senate suspended Akpoti-uduaghan for six months, after which her recall process began.
