Police said the aim was to disrupt drug trafficking at Unguwar Tudun Wadan Dan’iya, also known as Bayan Gali, in the metropolitan area of Bauch.
Police in Bauch Province have arrested five suspected drug dealers in the Tadun Wadan Daniya area of Bauch’s metropolitan city.
State police spokesman Ahmed Wakir said the suspects were “discovered in a prominent amount of banned substance” in their stores.
In a statement he issued Monday, Wakir said the suspect had been arrested by a command surveillance unit led by police chief Abdulrazak Pada, who performed the drug activity surgery.
Wakil said the operation focuses on disrupting drug trafficking at Unguwar Tudun Wadan Dan’iya, also known as Bayan Gali, in the metropolitan area of Bauch.
He said searches at several local stores during the surgery led to the discovery of illegal drugs.
He identified the suspect as Adam Muhammad, 35, Okuudri Tickezik, 50, Sunday Anako, 25, Mariam Ahmed, 20, and Tijani Adam, 20.
Police said the suspect, who was primarily a resident of the Bayangali area of Bauch, was found in 30 bags of tramadol tablets, 22 various ice syrup, three penta injections, 10 Diazepam tablets and five ice bunkers.
“During the questioning, the defendants recognized their role in drug trafficking and expressed their willingness to work with law enforcement to promote further recovery,” a police spokesman said.

He said state police commissioner Aliyu Sani-Omori praised the officers for their commitment to the safety and effectiveness of the community they are operating.
“He mandated a thorough investigation to ensure accountability and justice for those involved. Following this process, the defendants will be officially introduced and will be called to the court to deal with the charges against them.
“The order encourages community involvement and encourages parents, guardians and influential leaders to advise their wards and protégées from involvement in illegal activities.
“Working together will protect the peace our community enjoys and promote awareness of the serious health effects associated with the use of illicit substances,” a police spokesman said.
