The rivalry between the two singers intensified after Portable turned down Darlington’s offer to perform at his upcoming shows.
Nigerian musicians Habieb Okikiola and Darlington Okoi, known as Portable, are set to resolve a long-standing feud in a “celebrity boxing match.”
The much-anticipated showdown is scheduled for April 18th at the Balmoral Convention Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speed Darlington and the portable rivalry escalated after Darlington offered 500,000 portables to perform at his show. Portable refused the offer, laughing at Darlington as “poor” and claiming it had charged 20 million per performance.
He accused Darlington of using his name for promotion and dismissed his friendship.
Darlington “remorse” to reach out and wondered why he had lowered himself to contact Portable, especially after being humiliated. The feud got worse when Portable challenged him to a fight.
The event’s organizer, Mygamerush, drove by overwhelming public demand, confirmed the match in an Instagram post Tuesday, saying, “You asked, I’m here for now.”
The match, “Chaos of the Ring: Battle for Glory” will be held at 6pm
Shortly after Speed’s official announcement, Darlington shared a video of himself training in a boxing ring, showing him his preparations for the fight.
Meanwhile, Portable also reposted a series of battle announcements, hinting that it was eager to participate. Before the announcement, the singer posted a video of herself in a boxing ring and training.

After Darlington’s March 13 invitation, the “Zazuu Zeh” crooner accused Darlington of using his name to promote the event to ridicule his financial abilities. “I’m not advertised like you. I’m a hero, a superstar, a celebrity,” Portable said.
The “Baby Oil” singer later claimed that Portable had scorned his mother and escalated the conflict. On Thursday, the controversy took a strange turn when Darlington was found at the co’s store.

He was seen demanding “shiny” ffin, further strengthening speculation about hostility between the two artists. Meanwhile, Portable boasted that he would defeat Darlington, just as he beat the actor Charles Okocha.
This is not the first time the two have been engaged in online spats and controversy.
In May 2024, Speed Darlington chuckled the portable after being arrested by Lagos State Police on suspicion of debt related to a Mercedes-Benz G-wagon.
Portable was accused of buying the vehicle for 27 million people, but only paid 13 million, leading to legal issues. Darlington attempts to jump over the fence to avoid an arrest, untook him for calling him an artist of “fake life.”
Shortly afterwards, Darlington distanced himself from the portable and warned him not to compare fans. “I’m a star. Portable is not a star,” he said.
Both artists known for their controversial persona are planning to bring characters bigger than life into the ring, making this upcoming match a spectacle that will attract widespread attention from fans and the media.
