Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan asked members of the Parliament to regularly test drugs following comments made by Senators representing Kagi West, Sunday Karimi.
While addressing journalists in Rokoja, the capital of Kogi state, Karimi defended former governor Yahaya Bello and said the recent developments in the Senate involving Akpoti Udhagan have justified the former governor’s past actions against Natasha.
“The former governor can confidently say that Akpoti-uduaghan may have not been responsible for the issue that previously accused him of Kogi before the election of the Parliament,” Karimi said.
Also, in response to the ongoing conflict between Akpoti Uduaghan and Senate President Godwill Akpabio, Karimi said, “Former Governor Yahaya Bello must have seen it come. The other Kogi lawmakers and I, the state was not ridiculed, but our intervention was not umpped.
Remember Akpoti-uduaghan was recently suspended by the Senate for six months on suspicion of fraud after Akpabio accused President Akpabio of sexual harassment.
However, in response to Karimi’s comments, Natasha stated: “The NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement) needs to conduct regular tests on senators. The idiosyncratic process is to save Congress from unstable legislative hallucinations.”
