The US hunting influencer at the heart of #Wombatgate Mess has issued an apology, but when he went out to the Australian government he was deaf and called him a hypocrite to kill thousands of animals each year.
Samantha Strable – Sam Jones of Sam Jones on IG – fired the Australian Channel 10 host when he was released on bail in a scheduled interview. Instead, she sent them a pre-recorded video statement. She said last week in the original video that she regretted separating her baby wombat from her mother.

After temporarily owning her actions, Sam turned public attention to the national government that denounced her widely, claiming that officials were focusing millions of Australian taxes on the massive massacre of native animals.
She denounced hypocrisy incrediblely, saying that while she regrets what she did in the video, she refused to be a scapegoat of “a much bigger, much more uncomfortable reality.”
Her apology didn’t work at all with the host – they called it pathetic and pointing fingers to the Australian government was co-ill, but instead they were faced with live performances, they were hiding behind pre-recorded videos.
FWIW, Sam is not completely off the mark – wombats are a protected species of Australia, but you can grant permission to cull them if necessary.
