Paul Rodriguez is going to go to war with the Burbank Police Station… titled for the ugh legal battle over his recent arrest for drug possession, TMZ learned.
The legendary actor-comedian and Burbank law enforcement sources exchanged charges in separate statements with TMZ, turning Paul’s misdemeanor drug possession case into a wild drama.
On Friday night, Paul was arrested along with a female friend after officers pulled them – she was driving, he was in the passenger seat – and then went on a search and eventually found drugs in the woman’s wallet. Paul told TMZ that officers slapped him – and Paul’s lawyer, Bobby Samini, later said the officer’s actions constituted civil rights violations.
On Tuesday night, a Burbank PD source fought back… He knows Paul’s allegations of police misconduct, but is currently undergoing administrative review, and told TMZ that his charges appear suspicious.

They pointed out that after Paul was released from custody, he spoke to the watch commander and did not raise any issues regarding the officer’s misconduct.
The arrest is allegedly caught up in a police body cam video, but the department has no plans to release it, citing “active criminal cases.”
Other law enforcement sources provided new details about the car stop and said officers found suspected fentanyl inside the vehicle along with multiple glass pipes. Police are said to be testing the substances now.
Regarding Rodriguez, Samini returned the fire and told tmz… “The allegation that Rodriguez owned a regulated substance is absolutely wrong. The statement from an anonymous source, on the contrary, is intended to deny that Rodriguez is irresponsible with coronavirus disease.”
Samini continued… “Mr. Rodriguez will defend these allegations and take all appropriate legal action against those responsible. Apart from Rodriguez’s celebrity career in Hollywood, he is a retired US Air Force veteran.
Samini continued… “He worked entirely with law enforcement, but he was forced to remove from the vehicle, arrested and subsequently stripped searches. Any substances that were owned or regulated to his person were found.
The lawyer summed it up like this… “Mr. Rodriguez, the passenger of the vehicle, was treated like a dangerous criminal. My client believes in the judicial system and seeks justice from fellow ju judges. Mr. Rodriguez exercises his legal rights and clears his name.
