Sky Sports News senior reporter Melissa Lady sat down with Manchester United boss Reuben Amorim and live at Sky Sports, the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford on Sunday, saying the transfer period this summer will be “important.”
There were so many positive things against Reuben, Nottingham Forest, but Mann UTD conspired against himself in two bad habits. How can I try to fix these issues?
“I’ll admit first, when I see our seasons, we’re more focused so we improve in that department. But every time we cut a little, then we can see the goal with Nottingham. It’s been cut. There’s a corner.
“Even if it’s a drill that goes through, they need to focus, so we try to do that. And in attacks, we put a lot of time in that position during training, but we also need time. [denying us]that’s defense. Of course, it cannot be hidden behind it. But I’m a soccer player and I was a coach so I understand that sometimes I need a shot to score. At this moment we need to do a lot. ”
Sunday, April 6th 4:00 PM kickoff at 4:30 PM The last third issue is probably not calm when it comes to decision making, as the player is snatching or it’s not flowing?
“There weren’t many games like Nottingham where they attack like attack, so I think they need to spend more time in that position. They have to spend more time there. And if you see Rasmus (Hozilund) and Josh (Jilsie) and Ghana (Alejandro Garnacho), in that moment, they want this. It’s hard to explain because we have a situation. Everyone knows where Ghana wants to put the ball, but something is missing and maybe it’s a player’s moment.”
How will you switch players’ mindset from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City on Sunday ahead of the extremely important Europa League match against Lyon on Thursday?

“It’s basically all about training. You explain, then you do the exercises to be really clear about how to do it. And they’re professional athletes, they’re smart and understand that you can press against Nottingham in a certain way, but they try to make a transition.
“We know Manchester City will work the ball, they’ll push us to the lower block. But when they push us, we need to understand that there’s another space to attack when compared to Nottingham’s game.
You now speak a few times where you said you’ve noticed a lot of improvements in your team and adapt to what you want to see from them. Please tell us what was particularly encouraging.
Prior to the Manchester Derby, Man UTD boss Reuben Amorim claims that the issues he’s dealing with at Old Trafford outweigh the issues that Pep Guardiola has this season
“I can see it. You were talking about liquidity. We are more fluid, you can see it more. You can see that we can maintain more opportunities. We can understand more positions. With three defenders.
I know you want to focus on the game, but we’re having a big summer for Manchester United. From your perspective, how important is it to get things right this summer? Especially regarding recruitment?
At social gathering on Saturday, we will discuss how many Manchester United players will join Manchester City’s starting XI. Manchester Derby
“I think that’s very important. I think we’re trying to do everything as quickly as possible. Looking at the team’s schedule, there’s no Club World Cup.
“If we’re going to see next year, we’re going to be in the World Cup and then the European Championships. So this window will go a long way to work at our base.
“I think it’s obvious that it’s important for everyone here and we have to take advantage of it. There’s no next preseason, that’s not. So we need to prepare as soon as possible to start the preseason after a season like this.
“We need to show something. It’s not an argument. So we don’t want that conversation that takes a lot of time. We need time. Perhaps to win the league, but we need to improve a lot from this season onwards.”
What do you look for in the market regarding recruitment and the characteristics you want to see from players?
Clinton Morrison opposed Amorim’s decision to place Rasmus Hojlund on the bench against Nottingham Forest
“We have players and we know what the players are listening, so we don’t talk about it now. There are a lot of qualities, so we just want to improve our players and we have to help them get better. But of course, I have a different way of playing than a former coach, so we have to choose some traits that the team doesn’t have.”
In the UK, there is a very focus on transfers, but many coaches and managers have expressed the need to see improvements in their training pitch.
The Saturday football panel discusses the ongoing situation at Manchester United, with Paul Mason questioning the club’s transfer policy
“I think it’s all connected. Especially in this league, it has to be really good in every department. It has to be really good on the pitch. You need to improve the players, but recruiting can change the way we move forward, especially in the moment the club has.
“So when I say recruitment, it’s not just about big names, it’s not about spending a lot of money. It’s sometimes a 17-year-old player, it’s at another top club, it’s finished his contract, and we can use the Manchester United brand to take that kid. It’s not about recruiting, but for us, it’s about improving the players we have.

“Yeah. And we have to give Jason (Wilcox – Mann UTD Technical Director) credit. Jason did an amazing job. He paid attention to those details. Aiden arrived here, worked with some injuries, had the opportunity and showed many qualities. [Lisandro Martinez] I’ve been injured and need a centre-back on my left foot, but now I have this kid, so I can save money for something else. It’s really important and the doors are open for young children. ”
You talked about rushing for success here. You’re not following the challenge, if you have, you’re putting pressure on yourself…
“Yeah, that’s my job and I think I know myself well. I can’t spend a lot of time on the way. I know myself. I’m not going to handle this type of life. Me. And I know I’m not going to deal with this type of life.
