Rory McIlroy will be his first appearance since winning the Masters next week when he defended the Zurich Classic in New Orleans.
McIlroy, 35, became the sixth male player to complete a career grand slam when he kicked out his Ryder Cup teammate Justin Rose at the first playoff hall at Augusta National earlier this month.
He missed RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour this week and returned to Northern Ireland to celebrate the fifth major championship of his career.
However, Shane Laurie confirmed that he will partner McIlroy once again for the team event in Louisiana, where he won the playoffs last year with Chad Lamie and Martin trainers.
“We’re there. I spoke on his (Wednesday) morning. We’re OK with going,” Lowry told Golf Week.
It was the moment when Scotty Schaeffler was crowned the 2025 Masters Champion, and he placed the green jacket on Lori McIlroy.
“To be honest, I didn’t want him to feel like he had to play for me.
“If he wants to spend a little time, he’s not disappointed me. He wants to go back there.”
World No 2 is scheduled to play at the Truist Championship in Philadelphia next month. Then the following week he heads to the PGA Championship at the Quazul Hollow Club, where he won four times.
