Rosie O’Donnell revealed her friendship with infamous convicted murderer Lyle Menendez.
The actress, comedian and former talk show host revealed about her close bond during a recent chat with the New York Times… She and Lyle revealed they are living in prison without parole with their brother Eric Menendez for the first degree murder of their parents – joined them in 2022 after his current wife reached out to her.
Rosie says that she and Lyle began talking “regularly” via tablet phones, and their friendship grew naturally.
She recalled… “He would tell me about his life, what he does in prison, and for the first time in my life I felt safe enough to trust, be vulnerable and love a straight man.”
They say that after Lyle’s ex Rebecca Snead contacted Rosie after he and Eric supported her in Tiktok, she believed she was a survivor of sexual abuse and that she had killed her parents in response to the abuse.
Surprisingly, 2022 is not when the interaction between Rosie and Lyle began. She said NYT Lyle wrote a letter of thanks to her after sharing her beliefs.
She also said she was in contact with him in October.

Rosie spoke to NYT from her residence in Dublin. There, Donald Trump moved in response to becoming the 47th president of the United States.
The former “view” host, a longtime Trump critic, says it’s heartbreaking to see what’s going on politically” in America… and said he’s considering going back to “where it’s safe for all citizens to have equal rights.”
As for Lyle, he is currently waiting for responsiveness to see if he and Eric can live their lives outside the bar again.
